Our Story

Khulisa Conservation Fund was born from a simple idea: that flyfishing and conservation are inseparable. For nearly twenty years, Jonathan and Sarah Boulton have hosted the Winter One Fly, an invite‑only charity event that has grown into the most prestigious flyfishing gathering in South Africa.

What began as a small community of passionate anglers has evolved into a powerful conservation movement supporting scientific research, river protection, and frontline anti‑poaching units.

Our Mission.

To protect South Africa’s river systems, fish populations, and endangered wildlife through scientific research, habitat conservation, and direct support for specialised anti‑poaching units.

Our Mission.

A future where wild rivers thrive, fish populations are healthy and understood, and rhinos and other endangered species are protected by well‑equipped, well‑supported rangers.

A future where ethical angling and conservation work hand‑in‑hand ensuring that the waters we love remain wild for generations to come

Governance & Transparency

All funds raised through Khulisa are audited, transparent, and split evenly between: Fish conservation & research and Anti‑poaching support in the Kruger National Park

Annual reports and distribution summaries are available to all donors and sponsors.
